A Poem For AgnesI feel really bad
That you got a lower grade
Really, truly sad
That I feel like I betrayed

All because I mistook
That misleading hand gesture
Made you feel like... guck
and have you limp in posture

In your desk crying
Embarassed of the deep shame
I felt like dying
and that I was to blame

So I drew a ram
'cause it's Agnes in latin
not really, but lamb
and had it flattened

Into my scanner
photoshopped the ugly out
And wrote a poem in my planner
In hopes that you will not pout

But sadly this sucks
This whole silly goose poem
Like acid reflux
btw ovum.

Little Birdie, Little BirdieWhat do you do
When the sky turns blue
When the sun has risen above?

I hop around the street lights
Fly around and pick fights
Watch the sky
Change to pink
Sit and ponder--
Yes, to think.

What do you do
When the night falls navy
When the dark sets in
And becomes quite hazy?

I fly back home to mama bird
Papa bird, and siblings
And there we sing
In the tree
Wait until the wind flings

Little birdie, little birdie
Now that I've captured you;

What do you do
When the sky turns blue
When the sun has risen above?

I hop around my bird cage
Throwing things, enraged
Watch the gap
By the wall
Birds flap, clap and rise
